This year we have moved our headquarters to Lindy's Landing located at 115 Park street in Wauconda. Their
phone number is 847-526-9789. Lindy's does not allow Parking on a regular basis but has generously opted to be
the host site for WOW for the 2009 season. Please check out their site HERE Lindy's Landing has room for 100
vehicles with out trailers with additional parking across main street in the municipal lot which has approximately 30
more. All vehicles towing trailer are asked to park at the Park District Homer T. Cook Park where there is access to
the lake by the fishing pier.
Lindy's has also put together a special menu available to our fisherman, between 12 pm and 2 pm for $10.00 per
person, inclusive of tax
Choice of:
Lindy's Burger
Bangs Cheeseburger
Patty Melt
Grilled Chicken Sandwich
All Sandwiches include a choice of fries, home made potato chips, Cole slaw or fresh fruit
Also include a non-alcoholic beverage.
Fisherman will also be able to order anything off of Lindy's regular menu
More food for thought, want to earn free raffle tickets? Bring non perishable food items to Lindy's Landing January 31 2009
and we will trade one item for one ticket up to 5 total. These items will be donated directly to the Wauconda/Island Lake
food Pantry at the conclusion of the derby.
Why is a cancer charity doing a food collection? Wauconda has graciously accepted the Walk on Water ice derby for the
past couple of years and I would like to give back to the community that has played host or our event.
