W.O.W. Kids Ice Clinic

This year not only will you be given the chance at W.O.W to make a difference, but you will also have the opportunity for you and your youngsters to get something in return. The day of the event there will be FREE Ice clinics for the youngsters and beginning ice fishermen. The clinics will have a classroom session that will be taught by Jim Kusuda, a Wisconsin DNR Angler Ed instructor. The students will then take to the ice with the dedicated staff members of Cabela’s Outfitters.

Jim Kusuda is a member of the “Jason Mitchell” elite series Pro-staff. He is a current NAIFC competitor, finishing second for Team of the Year, and has been instrumental with kids fishing clinics held at several of the “Ice Team” trap attacks. Jim Kusuda will assist the anglers with the basics of ice fishing and teach proper techniques in jigging, equipment, baits, and where and when to find fish.

The clinics will begin at 9am and as mentioned will be a FREE. We ask that an adult accompany their children during the instruction. This will offer an opportunity for not only the young people to learn and have fun, but you may just learn something as well. The clinics will be a first-come first-served basis and the groups will be a maximum of 25 individuals.
