Hello, my name is Thad Hinshaw.

I was born and raised on the water of beautiful Evergreen Lake. I currently reside in Hudson, Illinois, with my wife and two children. I have extensive knowledge of Evergreen Lake and have been fishing for the mighty Muskie since they were first introduced into the lake in the early 1990's.

My guarantee is to provide you with all of the newest tips and tactics and some old standby techniques to give you the greatest chance of catching a memory to remember.

Thad Hinshaw is a professional fishing guide and tournament angler from Hudson, Illinois.

He guides on Evergreen Lake in Hudson, Illinois, and is known by the locals as "the guy who finds fish when others can't!"

Muskies were first stocked in Evergreen Lake on October 26, 1990 and Thad's first Muskie was caught in April of 1991.

Thad is an avid tournament fisherman and has had great success in competition. In 2004, Thad won 2nd place in the Shawnee Muskie Hunters Fall brawl on Kinkaid Lake by catching four fish. He also won 3rd place in the March, 2005 Kinkaid Muskie Tournament.

Thad and his clients have accounted for multiple Muskies 40-inches or larger with many specimens exceeding 20-pounds, and several over 30-pounds.

Over the years, Thad has been a featured guest on WJBC's radio program, "Outdoors in America", and in Scott Richardson's "Hook, Line and Sinker" weekly column for The Pantagraph newspaper. In addition, he has also been featured in "Midwest Outdoors Magazine". He is also a frequent speaker to the Prarieland Anglers Association fishing club.

Thad is a strong supporter of catch and release and has been a member of Muskies Inc. since 2000. He currently resides within a few cast lengths of Evergreen Lake with his wife, Lynne, and two daughters, Cameron and Mia.

Thad Hinshaw's Guide Service

Our Day on the Lake:

During your time on the water, you will have my undivided attention to answer your questions and also educate you by explaining techniques that have produced some large Central Illinois Muskies.

On my serviced trips, there will be no "client fronting". I will fish strictly from the back end of the boat, or not at all. Only upon approval from the client, will I fish from the front of the boat.

Please help me support catch and release fishing. All of my trips are 100% release.

Unfortunately there are no guarantees that the fish will do their part. This is the fish of "10,000 casts" that we are talking about.
